The Niris are a race of cephalopods from the Endless Universe.
Biology[]
The Niris resemble anthropomorphic octopi. Like many cephalopods they suffer from asphyxiation when they go beyond the waterline.
History[]
The Niris hail from a vibrant ocean-world. The ecology of their planet wasn't always so, no too long ago, the Niris went through a time of rampant expansion and population growth. The resulting factors led to the ecosphere coming close to utter destruction. Since then the Niris committed themselves to conservation technologies to maintain their oceans.
Culture[]
The Niris are ecologists however despite possessing spaceflight and liquid tanks to traverse the land, the Niris are still most at home in water. The interiors of their vessels are more like verdant aquariums compared to other vessels.
