Nibykot is a sapient felinoid species native to a jungle planet of Decanthe System in the Milky Way Galaxy.[1]
Name[]
The name Nibykot comes from Polish words niby ("quasi") and kot ("cat").
Biology[]

Nibykot is a sapient cat-like species, with four legs, three eyes on their head, and wings. They have a tail ended with a sucker, that is able to attach to various surfaces, including the ceiling. The species inhabited the jungles of one of planets of Decanthe System. Głuszek, a member of the species, stated that was either 4th, 5th, 6th or 7th planet from the star.[1]
The species is capable of producing a very loud scream that they used to use in self-defense to scare away the predators, as well as in the morning routing after waking up, to a raising sun.[1]
While being inteligent sapient species, they had never developed a culture, language or tools, living wild on their native planet like other local fauna. However, they were capable to learn those from other species.[1]
History[]
The species of Nibykots was incorrectly classified as non-sapient species by Human scientists and later sold as a pets. Głuszek, one of the members of the species, had learned English language from crew of a starship, where he was kept as a pet.[1] In 2313, after his ability to speech was discovered, he had become a celebrity on Earth, with his own talk show and published books. After that, Nibykots were re-classified as sapient species.[2]
