Nemuinas are a fairy-like species from the planet Nemunimos IV.
Biology[]
Anatomy[]
Nemuinas are small fairy-like aliens with a purple pair of pixie-like wings, spikey dark blue hair, blue skin, colorful eyes with feminine eyelashes, and pink markings on their cheeks and chins. Male and female Nemuinas look similar to each other.[1]
Certain Nemuina can come in a specific set of color. For example, Negative Pesky Dust has pale skin, pale red wings, and black hair while Rrfff has blue skin, peach wings, and peach hair.
Ecology[]
Nemuinas have a natural predator.[1]
Powers and abilities[]
Nemuinas possess enhanced speed and agility, and are capable of flight thanks to their fairy-like wings.
Nemuinas can release a green dust that makes beings such as Zaroffians, Pugnavores, Galvanic Mechamorphs, Polymorphs, Chronosapiens, Ectonurites, Piscciss Premann, and even Celestialsapiens and Ultimate Kevin[1] fall asleep.
Nemuinas can enter and examine the dreams of beings affected by their sleeping dust, which can be used to interrogate them or extract information. However, they must be affected by the sleeping dust in order for they to enter their dreams.[1]
Nemuinas can control the dreams of multiple victims at once.[1]
Similarly, Nemuinas can manipulate a victim's dreams, causing them to have nightmares instead.
Weaknesses[]
Nemuinas are quite small and consequently not suited for melee combat.
A Nemunia's sleeping dust is useless against robots because they are unable to fall asleep or have dreams. They are also ineffective against both their predator and Gutrot's Species.[1]
Nemunias can be affected by their own sleeping dust.[1]
Beings affected by a Nemuina's sleeping dust can be woken up with a slash of water, though they would not be woken up right away.[1]
Culture and society[]
The Nemuina are trying to live in harmony with nature. They spend half of their lives awake and the other half in dreams.[1]
Nemuina partake in sporting events taking place in mind-linked dreams. This has led to some outrageous scores.[1]
The most exported item from Nemunimos IV is Somnambuloid drupes, which have the mild effect of making people feel like they are in a dreamlike state while awake. These drupes are also very conductive for lucid dreaming while people are sleeping.[1]
Language[]
Nemuinas speak with high-pitched, trilling, and feminine voices.

Notes[]
- The name "Nemuina" means "I feel sleepy" in Japanese; it was first used on-screen by Khyber in the Omniverse episode "For a Few Brains More".
- During the production of Ben 10: Omniverse, Pesky Dust's design came from Undertown resident Lillimusha DiForestini and was drawn either by Steven Choi or Chap Yeap.[1]
- Pesky Dusts's name was coined by Derrick J. Wyatt[1] whereas his appearance is similar to Tinker Bell from Peter Pan.
- Pesky Dusts's powers are similar to those of Jigglypuff from Pokemon.[1] However, the execution of these powers is more alike to the moves Sleep Power and either Dream Eater or Nightmare, one of which Jigglypuff can learn.
- Pesky Dust originally shared the same voice as Ben due to the Omnitrix malfunctioning during his debut episode and because the crew did not envision him as a usable alien for later episodes. His voice was changed because the crew liked how he turned out.[1]
- Albedo cannot transform into Pesky Dust because he does not have access to Nemuina DNA.[1]
- The other worlds in the Nemunimos System (Nemunimos I, II, and III) are uninhabited.[1]
- In 2020, Derrick J. Wyatt released full-color models of a hypothetical alternate version of Pesky Dust used by Albedo and Rrfff, a Nemuina civilian modeled after Raf Esquivel from Transformers: Prime.
- It is confirmed that the Omnitrix from the Ben 10 reboot contains Nemuina DNA.[2] Therefore, Pesky Dust is one of the countless aliens whose DNA pod was glimpsed in the episode "Innervasion Part 5: High Override".
