The Na are the least well-known of the three native sapient species from the planet Horseye, a.k.a. Tslamaina. They can only live in the frigid high altitudes of their world's single continent.
They're also referred to as "demons" or "ice demons" by the Mai.
Biology[]
Na are evolutionarily related to the Tsla and the Mai. All three species are mammalian bipeds and have six digits on their hands and feet. At about 4 meters in height, Na are by far the largest and most physically impressive of the three races, with enormous strength and stamina, and a massive skeleton. They have tough leathery skin covered by thick shaggy fur. They have been observed to shrug off severe injuries and continue to fight after being wounded by multiple spears.
Na don't seem to have sweat glands. When exhausted, they pant like a dog, with the tongue hanging from their open mouths. They have low foreheads, blunt snouts and sharp canine teeth. Their diet is omnivorous.
Culture and society[]
Like the Tsla and the Mai, Na are a pre-steam civilization. Unlike the other two, the Na haven't developed agriculture. Since their diet is omnivorous, they acquire vegetables by either trading with or raiding Tsla settlements. They have no qualms about eating Tsla or Mai meat.
Na clothing is made mostly out of leathery materials and includes sandals, vests, breastplates and kilts. Their weapons include giant clubs and blades.
