The Mykara are an ancient fungoid species from beneath the planet Auriga in the Endless Universe.
Biology[]
A race of sentient plant matter and fungi, the Mykara are a a single organism spanning thousands of semi-autonomous agents. Ever adapting they survive and thrive, spreading all over Auriga as a massive underground root system.
Culture[]
According to legend the Mykara have broken onto the surface many times through the ages, in an eternal struggle with the great Urkan beasts. It seems once a few centuries the Urkans rise above the crust of Auriga and the Mykara rise as well to pacify them. However that balance was nearly broken by the Ardent Mages who nearly slaughtered the Mykara leaving the Urkans unchecked.
