The Mutacons (sometimes known as Neutronians) are a subspecies of Cybertronian Shifters from the planet Neutronia.
Biology[]
Anatomy[]
Mutacons share a similar biology to other Cybertronians, though they tend to be silver and blue in color. They come in a variety of sized, ranging from small Mini-Cons to approximate juggernauts.
Powers and abilities[]
Being Shifter-type Cybertronians, Mutacons possess super-transformational abilities of infinite-transformation due to exposure to the original transformation cog of Amalgamous Prime. Therefore, they can change into anything they know, can see, or sample.
Mutacons also possess powers of infinite-combination, being to merge with any number of other Mutacons to form bigger and more complex modes. They can also merge with other Cybertronians, a process which allows each to understand what it is like to be the other. From such a merger the Mutacon gains the ability to copy the other's form completely and can grant the normal Cybertronian a portion of the Mutacon's transformation and healing powers.
Mutacons can travel the stars as a fleet of massive starships composed of their combined bodies.
Weaknesses[]
Mutacons are slowly and involuntarily merging in to one composite being, losing their individual identities and memories. There is a fear that if the process is not reversed, they will eventually become a single amorphous blob-being. While this might not be terrible, it is indeed something they would rather avoid.
Culture and society[]
Personality-wise, Mutacons tend to be friendly, inquisitive, light-hearted, and easily amused. They are often referred to as pirates, given how they have friendly relations with the Star Seekers. However, in their encounter with the Autobots, the Mutacons have started acting more like friendly traders, happily offering to trade energon for new information and forms.
Religion[]
Mutacons are associated with Amalgamous Prime, due to their powers coming from exposure to his original transformation cog. They are currently searching for Amalgamous in hopes he can cure their condition.
History[]
Long ago, the Mutacons tried being "law-obsessed" stick-in-the-muds akin to the Quintessons, who they appear to know about. However, this lifestyle became extremely boring and was regarded as a fate potentially worse than death.

- Thundertron does not believe in mystical artifacts or the Primes. Therefore, he refuses to believe the Mutacons' story of their origins. Because Thundertron thinks the Mutatons were mutated by exposure to a neutron star, they in return think he is "dumb as a post".
