Multiviola were strange organisms that superficially resembled gaunt humanoid faces. Travelers through Zebes' Norfair region oftentimes felt uneasy upon seeing these organisms because of the entirely-coincidental facial structure. Multiviola were born as larvae known simply as Viola, which somehow crawled along walls. When mature enough, speculations suggest that they either combine to form one adult or simply grow larger and encircle themselves with quickly-birthed young Violas. Either way, the Multiviola also becomes capable of flight, although in the same way that their ability to cling to walls is unknown, so is their capabilities towards flight.

Two subspecies (or perhaps genders) were known to exist - those which were blue as Viola and likely transform into the blue-green Multiviolas, and those which were instead yellow as Viola and presumably transformed into the orange Multiviolas.

When Zebes was destroyed after the Mother Brain's second defeat at the hands of Samus Aran, the Multiviola species went with it. It has yet to resurface and is thus considered extinct now.
