|Behind the Scenes|
The Mothman is a 7 foot (~ 2,1 meters) tall, bipedal, flying creature; sometimes speculated as an alien; which first appeared in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, in 1966. It is said to be have been periodically active in America since, and might possibly be linked to the collapse of the Silver Bridge in 1967.
The Mothman resembles a 7 foot tall, possibly immortal, winged creature with glowing red eyes. Its wings are said to resemble a bird's, a bat's, or a combination of the two. It is covered in a black/brown feathers/fur, with long talons extending from the edge of its wings. The creature lacks a head, and its eyes and possibly mouth (unseen) rest on its chest. Some people claim it is a biological mutation, as it was first sighted near a WW2 bomb factory. Others claim it's an alien, because there were UFO sightings around the areas it was sighted. Whatever the case, this seemingly immortal creature is known to be aggressive and prone to attacking those who see it. The creature is capable of flying to speeds of 100 mph (~ 161 km/h) and attacking with its large claws, making it quite dangerous to come across. Its supernatural nature is suggested by its apparent ability to prophetically anticipate disasters.
