Monitors are a type of artificial intelligence created by Forerunners to look after the Halo Installations. Each Installation was given a Monitor to guard over it. Notable Monitors include 343 Guilty Spark (who watched over Installation 04), 2401 Penitent Tangent (who watched over Installation 05) and 686 Ebullient Prism.
