Alien Species

"Mole-Stache's Species" (allegedly known as Mystaxians) are rodent-like aliens from the planet Glabertron.[1]

Biology[]

Anatomy[]

Mystaxians are rodent-like aliens who have brown fur with dark brown spots, long thin ears, and buck teeth. Males have yellow mustaches, while females have pigtails.[1]

Ecology[]

Mystaxians eat nuts such as acorns, seeds, birch and spruce-like bark, salt blocks, fibrous paper, and clumps of nutritious dirt with grubs and worms in it.[1]

Powers and abilities[]

Mystaxians have prehensile hair that can increase in size and morph giant hands at the ends of them, allowing them to wrap and hit enemies. In addition, they can fly by rapidly spinning their hair.

Despite their small size, Mystaxians are strong enough to carry a Revonnahgander while flying. Their mustaches are also strong enough to hold a truck or a tree.

Being a rodent-like species, Mystaxians have enhanced digging capabilities.

If a Mystaxian's hair were to be cut or shaved off, it would quickly regenerate.[1]

Weaknesses[]

Mystaxians can be temporarily rendered defenseless without their hair.

A Mystaxian's hair can have weak strength if one does not work out with it.[1]

Culture and society[]

Language[]

Mystaxians speak using British accents in a stereotypical gentleman manner. They also tend to use high vocabulary.

Notable members[]

  • Mole-Stache: An Omnitrix transformation used by Ben Tennyson.
  • Jerry: A Mystaxian Plumber and the officer manager of Inhuman Resources.
    • Jerry (No Watch Timeline): An alternate version of Jerry from the No Watch Timeline.

Notes[]

  • Although this species has not been officially named in canon media, the name "Mystaxian" was coined by Derrick J. Wyatt. The name itself is a play on "mustache", as much of their powers revolve around their mustaches.
    • Wyatt once jokingly said that Mole-Stache is a Verminmole. Because this response also mentions that his home planet is "inside a mole hill",[1] Mystaxian might be the more logical name for this species.
  • During the production of Ben 10: Omniverse, Mole-Stache's design came from Plumber character Jerry and was drawn either by Steven Choi or Chap Yeap.[1]
  • Mole-Stache originally shared the same voice as Ben due to the Omnitrix malfunctioning during his debut episode and because the crew did not envision him as a usable alien for later episodes. His voice was changed because the crew liked how he turned out.[1]
  • Neither the Ben Tennyson of Dimension 23 nor Albedo[1] can transform into Mole-Stache because they do not have access to Mystaxian DNA.
  • It is confirmed that the Omnitrix from the Ben 10 reboot contains Mystaxian DNA.[2] Therefore, Mole-Stache is one of the countless aliens whose DNA pod was glimpsed in the episode "Innervasion Part 5: High Override".
    • Despite this, the reboot version of Mole-Stache solely appears in the VR game Ben 10: Omni-Charged, with his inclusion in the game being requested by PHL Collective.[2]
