Minyans are a sapient humanoid species from the planet Minyos. Early in their history, their world was visited by Time Lords, which the Minyans came to regard as gods. The Time Lords helped them develop technology in several fields, ranging from cellular regeneration techniques to military weapons. Unfortunately, the Minyans waged war against each other and used their newly-acquired technology to destroy their planet. It was this disastrous event that led the Time Lords to adopt a policy of non-intervention with other civilisations.
