Millennial Bugs are a non-sapient species of giant insectoid predators, regarded as one of the most dangerous life forms in the galaxy.
In the past, swarms of Millennial Bugs have decimated entire planets. They are, however, a rare and endangered species, and hatch from their eggs only once every thousand years.
Biology[]
Millennial Bugs are large, vicious predators which can lift 50 times their own weight. They have three pairs of legs and prefer to walk quadrupedally, with the first pair of legs used as raptorial appendages rather than for locomotion. They spit corrosive acid from their mouths, and can somehow grow to adult size almost immediately after hatching. Their six green eyes are arranged in two groups of three.
Millennial Bugs can also curl themselves into a ball like a pillbug, and their exoskeletons are tough enough for them to survive atmospheric entry in this position. Their only known biological weakness is that, due to nerve sensibility, they can be temporarily incapacitated by being tickled on their bellies.
