The Midnight Entity is an unnamed species that lives on the planet Midnight, which was supposed to be uninhabited and impossible to sustain life due to its X-tonic star. The Midnight Entity is able to possess a host and learn very quickly by mimicking. The only appearance this creature had was a shadow running across the landscape. It is unknown if the creature encountered by The Doctor was the only member of its species.
