Micromasters (alternatively known as Gorlamites) are a subspecies of Cybertronians from the planets Cybertron, Micro, and Gorlam Prime.
Biology[]
Anatomy[]
Micromasters share a similar biology to other Cybertronians, though they are small and roughly human-sized in robot mode. Their bodies are extremely fuel-efficient, and they usually transform into tiny cars, planes, and other vehicles.
Powers and abilities[]
Micromasters share many of the same abilities as other Cybertronians.
Culture and society[]
Unlike other planets inhabited by Cybertronians, the Earth-like planet Micro is actually quite a nice place to live by galactic standards, possessing a breathable atmosphere, and plenty of greenery and natural water sources around which the planet's cities are built.
Originally a race of organic humanoids, the Micromasters found on Gorlam Prime (known as Gorlamites) embraced a culture of biomechanical modification, allowing them to rapidly evolve beyond their biological bodies.
Micromasters refer to regular Cybertronians as "guzzlers".
Technology[]
Micro's cities are especially technologically advanced, with one third of the planet's power being supplied by an experimental plasma energy plant.
Gorlam Prime has recently experienced a technological renaissance, with great leaps in science allowing the native Gorlamites to begin a transition from biological to mechanical lifeforms. This advancement has been rather sudden and unprecedented, happening at an unusual rate.
Religion[]
Gorlamites are associated with Quintus Prime.
History[]
The origins of Micromasters found on Cybertron and Micro vary across universe, ranging from being created as being small to starting off as regular Cybertronians before rebuilt into newer Micromaster bodies.
Aurex 1104.30-DB Zeta[]
According to Vector Prime, the TransTechs had been debating over whether this universe was a Primax-influenced Aurex universe or the other way around. Dr. Brian Jones attempted to reverse-engineer the Maximus combination technology and apply it to Mini-Cons.
These experiments resulted in the creation of the Micromaster combiners: the Aerialbots, the Protectobots, and the Railbots. However, the Decepticons stole this technology and used it to create their own Micromaster combiner, the Constructicons.
At some point, the Micromaster Protectobots were among the Cybertronians abducted by Unicron during the Universe War and imprisoned within the Cauldron. Liberated by Optimus Primal, they merged into Defensor and escaped along with many other abductees in a mass jailbreak.
Eventually returning to their home universe, Defensor joined Superion and Rail Racer in fighting against Devastator in the Combiner Wars as the Unicron Singularity drew near.

Notes[]
- In the War for Cybertron Trilogy continuity, toys for the Mini-Cassettes classify them as Micromasters.
- Although Malleus Minotaurus is formerly billed as a Micromaster on Amazon's product description for the Legacy: United "Doom 'n Destruction Collection" multi-packs,[1] the character is functionally similar to the Battle Masters.
