Alien Metron (メトロン星人, Metoron Seijin) is a species of humanoid alien from Planet Metron. Their most defining feature of their appearance is their large, somewhat aquatic-looking body, which, while human-sized, is characterised by the presence of a smooth and red head that curves downwards towards their torso, making them resemble some forms of sea life viewed from below. Their bodies are predominantly blue, with yellow highlights on their legs and a red stripe across their waist. Instead of hands and forearms, Metrons have white and red pincer-like appendages, though these are fully capable of acting in similar ways to conventional hands.

A highly intelligent species, the Metron are capable of superhuman feats, including telepathy and telekinesis. They can also emit a radio frequency which induces violence in humans subjected to it.

Notes[]

  • This species debuted in the 1967 Tokusatsu series Ultraseven. Like the Baltans and Zettonians before them, the Metrons have gone on to become one of the most iconic aliens in the Ultraman series, and have made many appearances throughout the franchise.
  • While most Metrons are hostile to the Ultras, humanity, and other non-violent aliens, a handful of Metrons with more neutral or friendly tendencies have appeared in more recent installments of the franchise.
