  • Where'd you get "Cerebrus rex"?  That better be canon.  Because we only accept canon taxonomies here.

    • Parker, I'm going to let you in on a little industry secret, here: I am the guy. I am the one guy that got this project running in 2006; I worked on this page (as I recall) about a year, maybe more before anyone else ever showed up. If I posted it on this wiki, or on NAC, or any of the wikis that are not my personal three, it came from actual media content, or from the actual wiki. I'm one of the head speculative xenobiologists on the Internet, was the first one to show actual legitimate interest in the cataloging of all extraterrestrial species on the web, and I have always been very serious about it. Like, my entire goal in life levels of seriousness. I've even written a book on the subject back in the day and tried doing speculative xenobiology books sort of Dougal Dixon-style but there was no interest in it at the time.

I'm a little more lax about it back on, say, All Species, because it's easier to define everything with scientific taxonomy that is otherwise strictly Earth-based, for instance (which is why the "Planet" part is listed with taxonomy on the template, since to do it properly we ought to be making entirely new taxonomy for every single planet not having their species evolved from transplanted Earth organisms).

I do appreciate that you are here policing, though. I am rarely seen on here directly anymore since I no longer need to keep tabs on it, and so I focus on other projects.

With that being said, while I am not going to remember work I did 12 years ago, here's a couple links I found that also list the taxonomy. Seems to come from the toy. That counts as it's in media and presumably not contradicted by the book or movies.

  • Just passing by to inform about this discussion, in case you wish to participate. The topic at hand is how to deal with pages about real-life Earth species. Your thoughts would be much appreciated.

  • All told, I think his attempt to explain why he shouldn't be banned is an excellent demonstration of why he should be.

  • your admin eviltim on the EDF fandom is being ridiculous and adding in false information

he blocked me for saying that the kaiju list of enemies is made up by fans even though its true and they never actually stated that it was a class of enemy types and i will admit they did list erginus and archelus as "mysterious monsters" in EDF 5 but thats the closest to a actual class of enemies for kaiju and i bring this up because if i were the admin i wouldnt just block people and throw a tantrum not giving the other person a chance to bring up there arguement i would actually use logical information even if it goes against what i say because i know im not in the wrong about this.

I'm sorry but he needs to do his job right the day they say its a classification is the day I'll accept it but for now hes just throwing a tantrum because he has a grudge against me.

please talk to him about it since i literally did nothing wrong and he even banned me from the fandom until 'July 15, 2019' with the reasons of " Inserting nonsense/gibberish into pages" even though what i have edited in was completely factual and ironically hes the one whos inserting gibberish and nonsense because they specifically never state it and its a incredibly long time for something that wasn't my fault and is completely unfair

    • PART 2

hell I'll even tell you the things i did i tried stating before all this that things like the Queen Ant, King Spider, Death Queen, and Dragon Centipede all technically count as kaiju because there are insect kaiju in the godzilla franchise such as kumonga and kamacuras which we fought about for alittle bit and he said the following "I said giant monsters, not giant insects." despite in EDF 5 the giant insect bosses are classed as giant monsters officially in the game so he contradicted himself.

he even said it himself "Im willing to allow "kaiju" as a category for giant monsters even though as far as I can tell the series never actually uses the term" which here he admits its a fan made class of enemy so admittedly yes we have argued before and i will admit at first i was in the wrong but not this time

then i tried creating a page for the Queen Ant because the normal ant page was getting really large and its just as iconic as the mothership so i wanted to set it up in a way that would introduce newer variations over the series history because its been around just as long and is just as iconic as the mothership and everyone seemed to like it until he deleted it saying to me "We don't make pages based on what fictional creatures deserve." despite that hes trying to defend his fan made classification.
