Martians are a sapient non-spacefaring species of diminutive humanoids from the planet Mars.
Biology[]
Martians are thin nocturnal bipeds which stand about half the size of a Human and make chirping noises. Their bodies are covered in long golden-brown fur. They have relatively long necks and broad chests, no visible nose or ears, four-toed feet, and a pair of luminous round eyes which are three times larger than Human eyes and can see perfectly in darkness.
Martians can move swiftly underground, digging beneath the loose sand dunes of their homeworld at surprising speed. To compensate for the thin atmosphere, they breathe at a much more accelerated rate than Humans, inhaling air about 200 times per minute.
