Martians are an unnamed microscopic insectoid species from Mars.
Biology[]
Martians are too small to be seen with the naked eye, and are described as resembling mosquitoes with some humanoid traits. They are capable of flight, and like mosquitoes, can sting other lifeforms, capable of causing great pain to Humans. Due to evolving in an environment lacking water, Martians are hydrophobic, able to be quickly killed by having liquid water poured on them.
Culture and society[]
Little is known of Martian society, other than they send one-man recon teams to planets they wish to invade. Despite their small size, Martians still attack larger beings with both their stings and ships.

Martians utilize silvery flying saucer-shaped spacecraft capable of traveling between planets, durable enough to survive repeated impacts from comparatively large objects while remaining functional, although enough blows can disable their engines, which appear to be located on the underside, although no exhausts are visible. Due to the small size of the Martians, their spacecraft are only 20 centimeters in diameter, and yet are strong enough to lift Humans into the air, assuming said Human has sat on the craft. They do not appear to be equipped with weapons, or at least none that are capable of harming Humans and other relatively large beings. The ships can also be remotely controlled by Martians.
History[]
In the 1970s, a Martian was sent to Earth to scout out the planet for invasion, entering a building belonging to a scientist, but their ship was captured by a Human lab assistant. The Martian managed to escape, only to be captured by the scientist, who mistook it for a mosquito. The scientist then put the Martian under a microscope and performed a bizarre "plastic surgery" operation on it, realizing after the operation that the "mosquito" bore humanoid traits, confirmed to be a Martian by the lab assistant. The Martian remained under the microscope after the arrival of a superhero named El Chapulín Colorado, but eventually got up and left just as the scientist returned. Chapulín, who did not believe there was a Martian, questioned the scientist until he saw the spacecraft take off, remotely controlled by the Martian. The ship was sent to the office of the lab assistant, scaring him into fainting while he tried to call for help, and then proceeded to evade the Humans trying to capture it, even tricking Chapulín into striking the scientist and lab assistant with his mallet by dodging his swings at the right time and place. Eventually, Chapulín accidentally sat on the saucer when it landed on a couch, and it took off with him still on it, although the scientist managed to disable the saucer with a few hits from the mallet. However, the lab assistant realized the Martian was not present in the ship, and the Martian then attacked the scientist's secretary, stinging her neck. After the secretary entered the room with the other Humans, the Martian jumped off the secretary and onto the lab assistant, stinging him and making him run around in pain. The scientist soon realized that the Martian is likely hydrophobic due to the Martian environment, so he and Chapulín try to throw water on the assistant, only for Chapulín's bumbling antics to get the scientist wet instead. Just as the scientist tries to throw water on Chapulín in retaliation, Chapulín ducks, letting the water soak the assistant and kill the Martian.

- This species is one of several variations of Martians in El Chapulín Colorado, and other versions of "Marcianos desanforizados" had variations of this species, only distinguished by spacecraft design.
