Martians are an unnamed humanoid species from Mars, who came to Earth to abduct animals.
Biology[]
Martians are humanoids, almost entirely indiscernible from Humans, with the only known external difference being large, pointed ears. Martians also speak telepathically with deep, robotic voices. While at least one Martian was capable of speaking with their mouth, it is ultimately unclear if this is an actual ability their species has or the result of a disguising technology. In addition, Martians possess super strength. Despite evolving in the Martian environment, they are perfectly capable of surviving in Earth's environment without protective equipment.
Culture and society[]
Little is known of Martian society, other than they abduct animals from other planets for unknown reasons, possibly to study how the animals live and interact. They are known to make their abductions during a full moon phase for an unknown reason, and the abduction process is simply beaming down to the planet's surface and grabbing the creature they wish to capture. While Martians normally ignore sapient beings on the planet, they also target any sapient being that resembles an animal, even if the resemblance is nothing more than a costume. It is also known that when more than one Martian is on another planet at once, they appear not to be aware of each other, and will even attack each other if one is in disguise. Martian clothing, or at least the uniform of their spaceship crews, consists of featureless red long-sleeved shirts with white collar lining, tight green pants, gold boots and gloves, and a large belt with dark pouches.
Technology[]
Martians have access to advanced technology, including spacecraft capable of flying between planets, somewhat shaped like a mix between a top and a flying saucer, colored entirely lime green with a large, rounded center, pointed bottom, and dome-like top, possibly a cockpit. They also appear perfectly capable of flying upside-down within an atmosphere, possibly having gyroscopic interiors or internal gravity generators that negate the effects of being upside-down, making the orientation of the craft irrelevant. In addition, the Martians have access to teleportation technology, which teleport them and anything they are carrying to and from their ships in flashes of light and smoke.
History[]
In the 1970s, at least two Martians arrived on a farm on Earth, although they appear to have not met each other. The first pretended to be a young football-playing neighbor to the farmer, and the other began abducting chickens from the farm on nights of a full moon, which eventually frightened a cow to the point of not being able to produce milk. The abducting Martian's spacecraft was soon seen by the daughter of the farmer, who saw the saucer landing near the neighbor's house and told her father of the sight. The farmer did not believe her, thinking she only saw a football that the neighbor had thrown. However, the Martian's ship, flying upside down for an unknown reason, was soon seen by the farmer as well, prompting him to summon a superhero known as El Chapulín Colorado. El Chapulín Colorado searched for the Martian, first attacking the neighbor, mistaking his football gear for a Martian uniform, unaware that the neighbor was also a Martian. Believing that there was no Martian after all, the farmer left to confront the neighbor, only for the uniformed Martian to teleport in front of him. Ignoring the farmer, who was paralyzed with fear, the Martian wordlessly grabbed a chicken from a nearby coop and teleported away with it. Meeting with El Chapulín Colorado again, the farmer attempted to explain what he saw, only to be scared off upon seeing the Martian teleport into view. The Martian, mistaking El Chapulín Colorado for an animal due to his grasshopper-like outfit, approached Chapulín from behind, who was frightened by the Martian's appearance. The Martian telepathically explained who he was to a very scared Chapulín, and then tried to abduct him, but El Chapulín managed to evade him and hide in the house. The Martian easily punched through the door and struck Chapulín in the face, making El Chapulín run off again, only to be met by the farmer's daughter and the neighbor in the house.
The neighbor, strangely appearing to mistake the other Martian for the farmer, begins apologizing for throwing his football onto the property, until the farmer's daughter realizes what the Martian is. The neighbor attempts to run when the Martian tried to grab him, making the Martian chase after him. El Chapulín Colorado then returned with a new weapon to fight the Martian with: La Chicharra Paralizadora, a horn that could freeze what it targets when honked, demonstrating it by freezing the neighbor when he returned. Chapulín used the horn to freeze the Martian just as he came in with a chair raised for a strike. As the farmer looked over the frozen Martian, Chapulín idiotically tried to demonstrate how the horn can unfreeze its victims with two consecutive honks, accidentally unfreezing the Martian and allowing him to slam the chair over the farmer's head, knocking him out. Chapulín froze the Martian again before he could strike him. After unfreezing the neighbor, the neighbor ran off again at the sight of the Martian. Chapulín, in another act of idiocy, tried to tell the neighbor that the only way for the Martian to be unfrozen was honking the horn twice, doing so right in front of the Martian, unfreezing him and allowing him to knock La Chicharra Paralizadora to the ground. When Chapulín tried to pick it up, the Martian repeatedly blocked him, and then tried to grab him, making Chapulín run outside.
Outside, Chapulín attempted to fight the Martian, only to be effortlessly thrown back inside twice, although he was able to evade the Martian on his next attempt, only for the famer to accidentally use La Chicharra Paralizadora on El Chapulín, allowing the Martian to strike him with a log. The Martian appeared rather confused as to why Chapulín remained frozen after the strike, allowing the farmer to figure out how to work the horn as the Martian grabbed another log. The farmer then unfroze Chapulín, making him fall down and inadvertently causing the Martian's next strike to hit the farmer in the stomach. However, just before the Martian could uppercut the farmer, El Chapulín froze him. While taking the horn back, Chapulín foolishly honked the horn twice and unfroze the Martian, who sent the farmer flying into the air with his punch, Chapulín barely managing to save him from the fall by freezing him in mid-air. Finally freezing the Martian again, the farmer's daughter and the neighbor met up with Chapulín, although just as Chapulín went to unfreeze the farmer, the neighbor distracted him with a question of how the horn worked, causing Chapulín to turn towards him and accidentally unfreeze the Martian, who struck the neighbor with another log. However, when the Martian attempted to attack Chapulín again, Chapulín threatened him with La Chicharra Paralizadora, asking if there was any Martian counter to the horn's power. Unable to combat the paralyzing ability, the Martian opted to escape, teleporting back to his ship and leaving Earth. When the farmer's daughter berated Chapulín for his general idiocy, reminding him that he mistook the neighbor for a Martian, the neighbor instead called the farmer's daughter an idiot, revealing himself as a Martian by teleporting away, much to the shock of the farmer's daughter.

Notes[]
- This episode is a variation of "Algún día los terrícolas llegarán a Marte, o por lo menos a estimarte," which had a distinctly different Martian species, although they fill the same role in nearly identical plots. Other variations of Martians are featured throughout the series.
