Maora is a friendly extraterrestrial visitor belonging to a peculiar-looking species of humanoids. As her species is physically incapable of emoting by means of facial expressions, she usually offers presents such as flowers from her homeworld to signal her peaceful intentions. The large flattened structure on the top of her head acts simultaneously as a listening device and as a solar panel, to collect energy for photosynthesis.
