The Man-at-Legs is a biomechanical Arachnorb discovered within the mechanical ruins of PNF-404 during Captain Olimar's later expeditions.
Appearance[]
The Man-at-Legs is a very strange animal, holding more sorts of relations to the mechanical Groinks than the Arachnorbs, due to its relationship with mechanical engineering. Unlike other Arachnorbs, its legs don't end in large rounded feet and it can't stomp down onto other creatures, instead able to move faster on its tipped feet as better locomotion.
One odd detail for this arachnorb is it's mechanical outer shell, made up of green panels and several "smoke stacks" jutting out of their rounded torso that release steam while it is active. The top of its body has what appears to be a knob, but its function is a complete mystery. One of its legs has been replaced by a mechanical, three-digit arm.
Behavior[]
Man-at-Legs, compared to other Arachnorbs and despite popular belief, actually have a gentle disposition and it doesn't seem to actively try to attack creatures. When threatened, however, the biomechanical panels open and reveal a machine gun-like weapon that automatically attacks and shoots nearby creatures with deadly accuracy. This is all done through the mechanical AI, and the Arachnorb is incapable of controlling the metal.
Notes[]
- When its machine gun is used, the Man-at-Legs' flesh is notably visible behind the panels as stretched muscle tissue. This suggests that the metal panels are its skin structure.
