History[]
During feudal Japan of Second Earth, a Makkine vessel arrived and crashed on the planet. Though damaged the machines used their influence to manipulate the Shogun of Edo, to become their thrall to use the Keystone, a powerful sentient crystal to open a dimensional doorway into Second Earth. However before the plan could be carried out, Miyamoto Usagi a ronin warrior suspecting that his lord's malicious intent intervened and defeated the Shogu piercing the lord of the city with his sword and also the Keystone. In doing so the invasion was prevented and also caused all the Yokai in Japan to be trapped within the Keystone.
The shard of the Keystone that was broken was kept by Miyamoto Usagi as a souvenir. However the samurai for his role in attacking the Shogun, he was labeled as a traitor. A thousand years passed when the Yokai in the Keystone were released by accident at the hands of the samurai's descendant Yuichi Usagi. Not only were all the Yokai free but also the Shogun, who was transformed into a Yokai and still under the enslavement of his alien masters.
Driven by revenge and also his master the Shogun now under the name Kagehito was driven to find the Clavis of the Makkine from their vessel. The Clavis was a device that would force a portal to be opened to the Makkine dimension when combined with the Keystone.
After Kagehito united the two together, he was freed by the Makkine's influence and joined forces with his ancient enemy's descendant to stop them. The Makkine and their horrors were released unto New Edo. It was only through reuniting the Keystone's shard with the greater whole that the Makkine invasion was thwarted thanks to the Yokai Hunters. Unknown to the Yokai Hunters a few Makkine escaped destruction and fled into the sewers of the city.
Culture and Behavior[]
The Makkine are the oldest beings in all the many dimensions of the Multiverse. They are extremely deadly, warmongering, ruthless, emotionless, relentless, and highly xenophobic war machines that exist and seek only to conquer all other alien worlds they come into contact with, and to steal resources and enslave other races against their own will to serve the Makkine Empire. Those that resist the Makkine Empire, are hunted down and exterminated on site.
Ranks and Types[]
The Makkine are a hive species with different variants based on their ranks among the Makkine Empire:
- Makkine Defense Drones - The Makkine Defense Drones are small sphere shaped flying security drone robots that have the ability to fire projectiles from their center eye. They are easily destroyed.
- Warbotto - The Warbotto are the mindless, yet still dangerous mechanical foot soldiers of the Makkine Empire. They're the most common out of the Makkine.
- Makkine Bio Mech - The Makkine Biomech's are a large, tall, imposing, crustacean, flea-like, mechanical robots that can combine themselves to form the Mega-Bio Mech, an extremely deadly war Machine.
- Makkine Supreme Commander - The Makkine Supreme Commander is a vicious artificial intelligence and the leader and presumed creator of the Makkine, which seeks to conquer every single world in the multiverse. It acts as the central control mind of the Makkine armies that are connected to it, so if the Makkine Supreme Commander were to somehow be destroyed, then all of the Makkine war machines would shut down and die as a result without a power source.
Makkine Technology, Weapons, and Spacecraft[]
- Makkine Kaiju - The Makkine Kaiju is the Makkine Empire's most powerful weapon in their arsenal. It is a an extremely powerful, vicious, cyborg, alien dinosaur-like, space beast that is equipped with sharp fangs, claws, a deadly tail, energy beams, and a thick hide covering it's endo-skeleton. Despite it being a sort of robotic war machine, it does possess some sort of intelligence.
- Makkine Scout Ship - The Makkine Scout Ship is a small shuttle sized spacecraft that serve as the advance guard for the Makkine Empire's planetary invasions. One of these Makkine Scout Ships served as the personal transport craft for Kagehito, the leader of the Unu, in order to deploy the dormant eggs of the Makkine Bio Mech's to Earth. This craft was eventually made space-worthy again and Kagehito was able to use it to return to his homeworld, in order to restore his people, once the Makkine were finally defeated once and for all.
- The Makkine War Mountain - The Makkine War Mountain is the primary spacecraft and mothership of the Makkine Empire, and it serves as the personal flagship of the Makkine Supreme Commander. It is a utterly massive vessel that has the ability to destroy planets, if the Makkine's attempts at conquering a target planet fail. It is eventually destroyed by Yuichi Usagi, which resulted in death of the Makkine Supreme Commander and the extinction of the Makkine.
Individual Makkine[]
- Makkine Supreme Commander - The Makkine Supreme Commander is a vicious artificial intelligence and the leader and presumed creator of the Makkine, which seeks to conquer every single world in the multiverse, eventually bringing it into conflict with Yuichi Usagi and his allies.
- Kiyoko - She's a female Makkine Bio Mech and the only one of the Makkine to rebel and fight on the side of good against the Makkine Supreme Commander and his army. Unlike the other Makkine, Kiyoko is friendly.
