The Ma'at-Hakans or Blueys as the Australians call them are a species from the planet Mutab.
Biology[]
The Ma'at-Hakans were a humanoid species similar to humans. Though the former had fingers and toes that were shorter and slightly webbed. Their skin colour and head shaped were really distinguished them, The skin was a startling deep blue with deeper patches of freckles depending on the individual. and their heads were more spherical and ears did no protrude from the skull and instead had gill like slits on either side of their heads. Their eyes were had purple irises and vertical, elliptical black pupils. They also had their noses situated flatly across the mid section of their faces with an equal width to their mouths which were full lipped and shaded the same colour as their freckles. Their mouths also contained a upper and lower set of spiky teeth and were hairless.
The species were incredibly long-lived due to their medical advances having conquered disease. On average a Ma'at-Hakan could live for amount five hundred years.
Ma'at-Hakans had male and female genders, though had a lower fertility rate compared to humanity. Ma'at-Hakan females had a short fertility window that spanned a mere fifty years. For of the rate conception, each fmale had a fifty percent chance of conceiving.
Ma'at-Hakans evolved in a gravity that is much weaker than Earth's making even a hard blow that would amount toa bruise deadly to their kind. Even the pressure from being near a bomb explosion could be fatal to their health.
History[]
The Ma'at-Hakan are an advanced species that reached a development of society where they created a near perfect civilization. Their kind had been roaming the galaxy for hundred of years and determined that few planets could support life similar to their own. Later it was determined that their planet was on the verge of environmental collapse. To preserve their species, a drastic plan was proposed to relocate 25 million people from Mutab to Earth as it was the only closest planet that sustain life for their kind. Even though the planet was already inhabited, but humanity, the Ma'at-Hakans felt that humans were a waste to th universe given their blatant disregard to the planet and wasteful use of its resource.
The Ma'at-Hakans employed a nerve agent that they deployed to poison all the humans. Though a small portion of humanity would be spared so that the aliens could use them as a labor force to build the necessary infrastructure for Earth's new owners. A number of 2,000 Ma'at-Hakans were sent to prepare the continent of Australia for settlement, deeming it to be appropriate for colonization given its similarities to their homeworld of Mutab. It was believed that they would have the colony ready in ten years and that the subjugation of humanity would be straightforward.
Th Ma'at-Hakans captured any surviving humans and placed them into work camps. To employ their authority the aliens used neural stimulators in their necks to compel them to obey them. The plan though faced shortcomings as many of their human slaves began to die for inexplicable reasons, causing a shortage in labor. After some study it was determined that the Ma'at-Hakans had seriously overlooked on the psychological needs of their human prisoners. While they sought to improve the problem and improve confinement conditions to better manage their slaves, the Ma'at-Hakans began to notice some of the humans had begun to worship them as gods.
Still there were still humans outside the camps who sought to fight against the Ma'at-Hakans and the humans in the camps who sought to undermine them. The guerilla efforts of the free humans led to deaths of the Ma'at-Hakans from sabotage. Later these efforts embolden their slaves to revolt and escape the camps, causing even more deaths among the aliens. The numerous deaths shook the Ma'at-Hakans to their core. But worse was yet to come as news from Ma'at-Hakans who were still on the homeworld. The planet deterioration was reported, so much so that its death was inevitable. The ships that should have taken the entire population of Mutab was not finished and only two vessels managed to escape before the planet exploded. Only about four thousand souls of Ma'at-Hakans were left alive, bringing the species close to extinction.
The Ma'at-Hakans seeing that they had no choice reached out to the humans for peace to share the planet offering technology and reparations.
Culture[]
Ma'at-Hakan as a species were above all things, respectful, thoughtful, considerate, tolerant and helpful of everything. This respect encompasses their own kind, their land, their resources, and their beliefs. The patience of the Ma'at-Hakan was another know quality, as they innately understood that they all worked for the common good of the species and each had a responsibility that could not be shirked, as a result, they all lived satisfying lives.
Due to this collectivist mindset, Ma'at-Hakan did not like to be in the center of attention or to grandstand as it went against their natures.
Ma’at-Hakans also appear not to have any faith in a higher power. In fact they find the notion to be ridiculous, even more so for humans in believing such fallacy.
Politics[]
The species were united under a single government known as the Ma’at-Hakan Ruling Council. The council was made up eleven ministers, each in charge of a specific governmental ministry, and all under the leadership of the Prime Minister.
