The Loomis are a species of non-sapient seal-like creatures native to the swamps of Jupiter, which are often hunted by Martian poachers. They often carry around (and play with) a type of stone named the "Loomi pebbles", which when pulverized have the property of returning a creature to their original size after being shrunk; which can happen due to being bitten by the strange Jovian Snake, or entering contact with the mysterious shrinking gas which permeates some parts of the Jovian swamps.
