The Lloigor are an alien race of interdimensional energy-based creatures that can assume reptilian forms and probably, the source of dragon legends. Their homeworld is believed to be located in the Andromeda galaxy.
Biology[]
The Lloigor are vortices of energy invisible to the Human eye. However, they can take various forms, among which the reptilian appearance that they usually use to demonstrate before mortals stands out. They don't need to feed. Rather than being separate entities, they operate as part of a group-mind.
The Lloigor have a twisted mind filled with so much darkness and pessimism that anyone who came into mental contact with them would be driven to suicide. Other peculiarities of the mind of these beings is that they lack feelings and that they never forget, so their ideas are always objective and immutable.
Among the powers of the Lloigor is the ability to assume a corporeal form or move things with the mind.
History[]
- "The Lloigor, or star-beings, could amputate limbs without causing death, and did this at the least sign of rebelliousness. They could also cause cancer-like tentacles to grow on their human slaves, and also used this as a form of punishment. One picture in the Naacal tablets shows a man with tentacles growing from both eye sockets."
- ―A description of the Lloigor's brutality.
The Lloigor came to Earth in a remote past led by their leader Ghatanothoa and settled on the prehistoric continent of Mu between 20,000 and 12,000 years ago. There they built a prosperous civilization by enslaving the local Human population, which they mistreated and subjected to terrible torture. However, when Ghatanothoa was sealed off, the Lloigor began to weaken, so they retreated to inaccessible places beneath the surface of the Earth.

Notes[]
- In The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen universe, by Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neill, the Lloigor are just another name for the Great Old Ones, and originate from Yuggoth, which is a name used for their collective mind as well as their homeworld.
