The Lion Galaxy shapeshifters are an unnamed shapeshifting species from the Lion Galaxy.
Biology[]
The Lion Galaxy shapeshifters, by default, appear almost exactly like Humans, and are vulnerable to many of the same things Humans are vulnerable to, although they have displayed enhanced durability, at least against energy blasts. They are capable of shapeshifting into both living beings and inanimate objects in flashes of green light, such as birds, pins, and debris, able to drastically change their size to do so. While certain transformations, such as turning into debris, can allow them to survive a fall from a spaceship in the upper atmosphere to the surface of a planet, they appear to still be able to feel pain in these forms. Notably, their clothing, armor, and other gear they carry on their bodies are able to morph with them, possibly due to being made of a material that can shapeshift or the result of some sort of biofield generated from their bodies that covers these items as well. Like Humans, Triforians, Sirians, Aquitians, Andresians, and many other humanoid species, the Lion Galaxy Shapeshifters are capable of holding Power Ranger powers, such as the powers granted through a Red Ninja Power Star.
Culture and society[]
The Lion Galaxy shapeshifters are an advanced society ruled by an Empire that spans over the Lion Galaxy. Slavery was known to be legal among the Lion Galaxy Shapeshifters, with shapeshifters able to be taken from their families and sold into slavery by nobility, who were previously known to be cruel. The shapeshifters, or at least their nobles and slaves, appear to be affiliated with the intergalactic game show Galaxy Warriors, as Princess Viera of the Lion Galaxy was able to be hired onto the show to destroy the Rangers, although this was likely only done in response to widespread accusations that Viera was a weak ruler. Mick Kanic knew of Earth and the Milky Way through the show, noting that Humans were "behind the times" in terms of advancements. After Viera turned into a Ranger ally, she returned to the Lion Galaxy and reformed its society for the better, following the values she learned from the Rangers, which likely eliminated the legality of slavery among the shapeshifters. They are known to hire members of other species to be their bodyguards, such as the lion-like Drillion, although even their nobles are willing to go into combat, and are willing to attack less advanced populations, such as that of Earth, if it means proving their strength. Royal starships and armor are known to be lion-themed. The prominence of lion themes and the very name of their home galaxy strongly implies that the shapeshifters have been exposed to the image of an Earth-like lion, which has been deeply engrained in the shapeshifter's culture. This may have been a prominent creature on their homeworld or the image of a deity. While the shapeshifters are in control of the Lion Galaxy, it is unknown if they are truly dominant in population, or merely in influence.
Technology[]
The Lion Galaxy Shapeshifters have advanced technology, creating futuristic cities and are capable of communicating across galaxies. They also created Zord-like spacecraft armed with powerful weapons capable of traveling across galaxies. These ships are compatible with the energy of the Ninja Power Stars, which are able to transform them into proper Zords. These ships are also known to utilize anti-gravity crystals, which cause whatever they're placed on or built into to levitate. Their nobles had access to a set of bulky, blocky armor known as Lion Fire Armor, was also compatible with Ninja Power Stars, which adapted the armor into Ranger morphers and made the original set vanish once used. The armor is known to be very durable and utilize fire-based attacks, although this may be the result of merging with the Power Stars.
