Lightbringers are a species of crystalline organisms that were genetically created by the Luminoth in their dire hopes of defeating the Ing during their war with them. They were constructed using the same technology used to invent the Light Crystals, and as such they can be energized with light beam technology, but also deactivated by dark beam technology. They were well-constructed, and are immune to nearly all weapons fire, although bursts of matter-antimatter will make short work of them.
