Lexiconian Monkeys are a simian-like species native to Lexicon.
Biology[]
Lexiconian monkeys are simian humanoids with light brown skin, fur colored a darker shade of brown, proportionally short legs, no tail, and a short stature. Like Terran monkeys, Lexiconian monkeys have feet resembling humanoid hands. Unlike Lexiconians, Lexiconian monkeys do not display any abilities one would call "superpowers" from a Human perspective, but they do possess a notably higher level of strength than the average Human, greater agility than a Human, better hearing, and the ability to consume far more food than their size would imply. Due to lacking superpowers, Lexiconian monkeys are immune to the effects of Lexonite. It is unknown if they are truly related to Lexiconians the way Humans are related to other Terran simians. Notably, the chatter of Lexiconian monkeys is able to be comprehended by Lexiconians.
Culture and society[]
Lexiconian monkeys serve in the Lexiconian Air Force, normally in the form of lone pilots assigned to Lexiconian spacecraft, and are trained in martial arts. Within the Lexiconian Air Force, their uniforms consist of blue jumpsuits with red shorts, a yellow belt, a red helmet with an antennae, and a yellow lightning-like insignia on their chest. Lexiconian monkeys, holding books, have been depicted alongside Lexiconian superheroes, implying that they often serve alongside such superheroes, and hold a similar emphasis of literacy and knowledge as Lexiconians.
Notes[]
- Despite their name, they seem closer to great apes than actual monkeys, due to the lack of an apparent tail.
