Lanais are a sapient race of amphibious humanoids native to the ocean planet of Ahch-To.
Overview[]
They appeared to have an amphibian, fish and a puffin mixed appearance judging to their bird like legs and facial looks. They spend most of their lives living in the islands of their homeworld. Females would work as caretakers in a nun like fashion towards the jedi temple in the island while the males would travel underwater and would not return until the following month. When Luke Skywalker arrived on their planet after his nephew Kylo Ren murdered most of his students, the lanais aren't happy and more stern towards him by the time of his arrival.
