The Uranians; more correctly known as L'gy'hxians; are a sapient alien race from the planet Uranus, known to them as L'gy'hx.
Biology[]
Physically, the L'gy'hxians are a peculiar species. Their metallic bodies are cuboid in shape, and they walk on multiple legs.
Culture and society[]
L'gy'hxians are a relatively peaceful species, and will tolerate the presence of other races who wish to settle on their world, coexisting with them and treating them as equals. However, they punish criminals severely.
The L'gy'hxians worship a god named Lrogg, which takes the form of a two-headed bat and is regarded as an insignificant deity by the Shans. Compared to the Shans' cult of Azathoth, the cult of Lrogg is relatively tame, demanding only an annual sacrifice to pay for the god's good fortunes. This sacrifice is not lethal, but consists of the removal of the legs of a conscious subject. In contrast, the atrocities committed by the Azathoth believers make the majority of the L'gy'hxians uncomfortable, and while they don't worship the blind idiot god, they do show fear of him, indicating that they're aware of his factual existence.
In terms of technology, the L'gy'hxians seem to be advanced enough to be on the same level as the Shans, or at least don't fear the Shans' weapons, indicating that their own arsenal isn't significantly inferior.
History[]
When the Shans settled on Uranus, they were allowed to build themselves a new temple and were regarded as equals by the L'gy'hxians. However, the cult of Azathoth practiced by the Shans gradually created problems for them over the years, as it triggered the formation of a rebellious faction of L'gy'hxians who worshiped Azathoth instead of their native god Lrogg.
When these rebels invaded a temple to smash the statues of Lrogg and killed three of the priests, the Uranian authorities responded by ordering the Shans to teleport their temple away to another world, and declared that no Shan could stay on Uranus unless they converted themselves to Lrogg's faith. Some of the Shans left Uranus for Earth, while the others converted and remained. All the L'gy'hxians who worshiped Azathoth were executed by having acid poured into their brains.
