Koyakoyan Toad-Fishes are a small species of wildlife native to the planet Koyakoya.

Biology[]

The Koyakoyan Toad-Fish is small little amphibian resembling a cross between a standard piscine lifeform and a frog with green skin, frog-like legs, and the tail and dorsal fin of a fish. Members of this species are excellent burrowers and so primarily reside underground, but are also adept at surviving in both surface environments and aquatic environments.

Behavior[]

Koyakoyan Toad-Fishes are rather reclusive and harmless creatures whose forms are ideal for surviving the strange lunar shifts of their planet. As Koyakoya has two moons, Red and Blue, its gravitational influence over the planet is known to cause sudden mass floods when the two moons rise together, creating the "Purple Tied", and making the Koyakoyan Toad-Fishes perfectly suited for surviving the floods by digging underground until the heavy waves from the flood subsides, and then they can freely move in water or on the land when the water recedes.

This unique behavior may have also been what inspired the Koyakoyans to build their homes to be capable of burrowing underground during nights of the Purple Tide.
