Alien Species

Koyakoyans are the two sapient species inhabiting planet Koyakoya, mainly an unnamed humanoid species who share their world with an unnamed lagomorph species. Their world is a low-gravity planet of pristine air and open terrain orbited by two moons, red and blue, which give the planet its unique purple color on certain nights.

Biology[]

Humanoid Koyakoyans[]

Humanoid Koyakoyans are not native to planet Koyakoya, instead having colonized it and formed its first proper society just one generation ago after they fled their overpopulated homeworld of Tokaitokai, with the colony on Koyakoya having been founded by a man known to be the father of the Koyakoyan boy, Roppuru. Physically they are almost identical to humans but are more frail, and having more diverse hair colors, such as blue, green, purple, black, and rose. They are also slightly more advanced in terms of developing spaceflight and hyperspace technology.

Lagomorph Koyakoyans[]

Lagomorph Koyakoyans are a small species of furry creatures resembling Earth rabbits, having long pointed ears, bunny feet and a face typical of a bunny, however, their bodies are small and perfectly circular and are born with long flexible tails, overall resembling a furrier version of another species that inhabits their area of the cosmos, the Moonbits. They are also known to be incredibly fast and agile unless suffering from hunger. It is unknown if they were originally native to Koyakoya or were simply brought along by their humanoid companions, however, other lifeforms of what appear to be members of this species have been seen on other planets, hinting that they are not too uncommon through their part of the cosmos, similar to, but not as prominent as, the widely spread Pao Pao species.

Shared Traits[]

While seemingly not biologically related, both species share a few traits, mainly both are somewhat more frail than their Earth counterparts and are incapable of breathing unpurified air low in oxygen, requiring more oxygen than average humans and finding even minor polluted air almost unbreathable for long periods. They are also capable of ingesting the same sorts of food which they grow from crops, but they can also consume Earthling food if needed.

Culture and society[]

Koyakoyans are peaceful beings and live in harmony with each other as stalwart companions, and their presence has been a boon for their mineral-rich planet which is dotted by farmlands and spaceship garages. Their population remains small and separated by moderate distances due to being recent settlers and due their planet's bi-lunar flooding, keeping most of the planet pristine but also requiring them to work hard to get the land ready for farming every new year, which isn't made all too difficult thanks to their state-of-the-art farming equipment and hover plows.

The floods are normally caused by the planet's twin moons, simply referred to as the Red Moon and the Blue Moon. The Koyakoyans described the moons as "taking turns" each night, bringing about beautiful red and blue nights, however, whenever the two moons rise together, it brings about the beautiful purple night which is also a warning for the coming of the Purple Tide which will flood large swathes of the western region, however, the flood itself also helps to spread fertile soil from the eastern seas to the rest of the planet, creating farming prosperity for the Koyakoyans.

Being peaceful by nature, Koyakoyans have little in the way of defense, and were powerless against the stronger forces of the ruthless Galtite Mining Corporation, a prominent corporation from their native world of Tokaitokai who sought to strip mine Koyakoya for everything it was worth. Luckily, the Koyakoyans were able to avoid disaster thanks to the efforts of the offworld heroes Nobita and his robot cat Doraemon.
