"Knight Ship Drones" are an unnamed race of semi-sapient robots from an unknown planet, possibly Cybertron.
Biology[]
Anatomy[]
Knight Ship Drones come in several configurations, most of them having a wheeled rover-shaped body.
Powers and abilities[]
Pusher and Lifter Drones appear to have enhanced strength, being able to carry Cybertronians and Earth automobiles.
Certain Stupid Drones possess massive claws used to dispose of trash in the knight ship's trash compactor while others appear to wield rifles.
Ball Drones can be deployed by Shadow Raiders to search for intruders in narrow spaces.
Culture and society[]
Each set of Knight Ship Drones serve a specific purpose: Pusher Drones escort prisoners to their cells, Stupid Drones manage the ship's trash compactor, and Ball Drones function as guards partnered with the larger Shadow Raiders.
History[]
Background[]
Centuries ago, Lockdown was tasked by the mysterious Creators of the Cybertronians to capture all their rogue "knights." At some point, he a commandeered and converted a spaceship that had once belonged to the knights themselves into a mobile prison for containing and transporting his various captives.
Over the course of his journey, Lockdown assembled a small army of drones to perform mundane tasks ranging from helping guard his captives to managing the ship's inner workings.
By 2013, Lockdown succeeded in capturing all of the knights save for Autobot leader Optimus Prime. Detecting the energy signature of a collapsing space bridge, he travelled to Earth to acquire this last prize.
Arriving in early/mid 2018, Lockdown landed somewhere in the Arctic and joined forces with the CIA black-ops taskforce Cemetery Wind. The Knight Ship Drones would remain aboard the knight ship while Lockdown assisted Cemetery Wind in hunting Cybertronians on Earth.
Present Day[]
In May 2018, multiple Pusher Drones escorted Optimus to the Knights' Temenos while Lockdown explained the origins of his ship. Lifter Drones took a civilian car that was indirectly taken aboard along with Optimus to the trash compactor under Lockdown's orders.
A pair of Stupid Drones with claws were busy at the trash compactor when they encountered Tessa Yeager, who had stowed away on the civilian car the Lifter Drones brought. They exchanged glances before the Stupid Drones became aggressive and tried to attack Tessa with their claws. Fortunately, she managed to fend them off with a nearby pipe before she fled.
When Lockdown's minions were dispatched to look for intruders, a Shadow Raider deployed a Ball Drone in a cell block Tessa was hiding in. However, the Shadow Raider left when the Ball Drone found nothing suspicious.
During a skirmish with Cade Yeager and Shane Dyson, several Ball Drones and clawless Stupid Drones armed with rifles were killed when the humans activated some sword-guns from an armory within the ship. Once the Shadow Raiders present were neutralized, the remaining Stupid Drones left in terror. Two more Ball Drones were killed by Cade moments before he and Shane reunited with Tessa.
It is unknown what happened to the Knight Ship Drones by the time the Autobots commandeered the knight ship. It is likely that they were either killed or captured in skirmishes with the Transformers Reaction Force.

Notes[]
- These drones went unnamed in the film Transformers: Age of Extinction, only being identified as such on concept art.
- Concept art for a Stupid Drone armed with a glowing blue whip was made during the production of Age of Extinction but went unused.
