Alien Species

The Kidnapper Fox is a mammal-like creature found on the moons within the Thistle Nebula. In contrast to most other creatures found within the moons, the kidnapper fox is considered a highly invasive species, and many have issued a "kill-on-sight" plan thanks to their negative impact on the ecosystems.

Anatomy[]

Although referred to as a fox, the kidnapper fox is several times larger, more comparable to the size of a Baboon Hawk, but longer. It has rustic reddish fur, similar to another invasive species known as the Vain Shroud. However, unlike other earth predators, its jaws open horizontally rather than vertically, with fully developed jaw muscles and canine-like teeth lining the sides of the mouth. Its mouth also houses an extremely long tongue, shaped and functioning much like a chameleon's tongue.

Behavior[]

Kidnapper foxes are solitary ambush hunters, remaining in position within the vain shrouds for suitable prey to venture close. Once a suitable prey item is within range, it will strike with its long tongue and drag it back into its lair to feed rather than killing it immediately in the open. The kidnapper fox is often found in areas where abundant vain shrouds grow, forming a type of mutualistic relationship with them.

Studies also reveal that kidnapper foxes mate for life.
