Kakaru are aerial reptilians indigenous to Shakuras. They are found in abundance around Kakaru Keys, which is likely a nesting ground for their kind, and the area is thus named after them. They are noteworthy organisms as they have the mysterious ability to survive on a virtually lifeless world. Despite being native to Shakuras, they share a physical similarity to inhabitants of Aiur, as their bodies house a psionic pulse, likely serving the purpose of a soul. Also like life on Aiur, this psionic pulse flares in a bright blue flash when they are slain.
