Jovians, a.k.a. Jupiterians, are a sapient species from the planet Jupiter.
Biology[]
Jovians are massive creatures with two pairs of short legs built to support their bodies in Jupiter's high gravity. They move around slowly in an undulating fashion, similar to a man-sized caterpillar, and their undersides are protected by armour plates. Their leathery skin is so thick it can stop bullets.
With a mouthful of sharp teeth, Jovians are omnivorous and their diet includes tough fibrous vegetation and wood, as well as meat. However, since they move slowly and have to conserve energy, Jovians aren't likely to attack anything that doesn't pose a direct threat to them.
Culture and society[]
The Jovian capital is the city of Kirikee, named and modeled after the Jovian scientist Kirikee, who discovered how to draw energy from the planet's core to power their technology.
