Jekkadians are the original inhabitants of Jekkad before it was corrupted into Hell, the first lifeforms created by the Dark Lord, Davoth.
Biology[]
Little is known of true Jekkadian physiology, as they have not been seen without full-body armored suits. They are organic humanoids with red blood, and it is possible that they are Human-like in general appearance, like their creator, Davoth. Being naturally mortal, their bodies are unable to contain the immortal essence of a being such as Davoth, but they are able to consume Hell Energy to indefinitely extend their lifespans and prevent them from turning into demons, although it is unknown if the constant consumption of Hell Energy has any effect on their bodies, like how the Argenta Hell Priests gained grey skin and gaunt figures from their own usage of the energy. While fully sapient, their minds could be easily controlled and altered by Davoth, who had also removed any restraint from their minds to allow them to ceaselessly follow their aspirations. When faced against the Doom Slayer, they appeared to be only as strong as a Human, making them among the weakest of Hell's denizens.
Culture and society[]
Jekkadians were an ambitious and extremely prosperous species, seeking to create an eternal paradise, seeking out more and more power to achieve their goal. Davoth gave them no restraints, so they could not be hindered by indecisiveness, causing their ambitions to grow even more. Soon, they, like Davoth, wished to surpass mortality and become immortal. This desire of immortality led to a species-wide obsession, one that had Davoth strip them of their free will and bend their minds to the singular goal of achieving immortality at any cost, something that even his great power could not do. After Jekkad was pushed to the bottom of existence by the Maykrs, what became of the surviving Jekkadian society, sheltered in the city of Immora, is unknown, only that they became Hell's ruling class. Their society appeared to still function in some way within the city, ironically able to achieve immortality in their damnation with Hell Energy. Davoth formed an army of Jekkadians, who became known as Demonic Troopers, to serve as his personal guards and the military force of Immora. Demonic Troopers, holding an especially honored rank, were equipped with either energy spears or biomechanical energy guns, fully clad in red armor, and remained loyal to Davoth throughout the eons. All remaining resources and remnants of Jekkadian technology were devoted to securing Immora against invaders or the very demons of Hell, erecting near-impenetrable high walls around the perimeter of the city. While Jekkadians used Hell Energy to prevent conversion into demons, Demonic Troopers have been seen fighting alongside demons under the command of Davoth, but no non-corrupted Jekkadian has been seen venturing out of Hell. The aesthetics of Jekkadian architecture and technology bear a striking resemblance to Maykr architecture and technology, only red in color and lacking most decorations, possibly due to Davoth creating both species. Jekkadians also got ahold of Wintherins, corrupting them into demonic forms and utilizing them as war assets, like the Argenta Night Sentinels. Jekkadian technology was relegated only to the Jekkadians.
Technology[]
Jekkadian technology was incredibly advanced, the result of unbridled creativity and curiosity working to create perfection over an untold amount of time, bolstered by Davoth himself. While most of their technology is unknown and was presumably lost when Jekkad fell, surviving Jekkadian technology remains highly advanced. While bearing many of the same sleek and alien aspects of Maykr technology, Jekkadian technology has some differences, such as being built for Human-sized beings that walk instead of large beings that float.
Jekkadian warships are known to have at least three variants: one that resembles an inverted cross, one that carries a ball of energy, and another, larger one, which appears to have several tentacles protruding from it. The inverted cross-type ship is known to be a form of transport, able to carry passengers from one location to another. Other defense assets include dual-barrel anti-air turrets, laser grid projectors, and fixed platform-defense cannons. An unknown technology takes the form of flying spheres, possibly robotic, with a single red optic. Jekkadian technology made after the realm's corruption, such as the weapons and armor of the Demonic Troopers, are said to be forged from hate and suffering. Jekkadians appear to have mastered and adopted biotech in certain areas, as seen with the guns of the Demonic Troopers, although the majority of their technology has been constructed with metal.
History[]
Jekkadians were the first species created by Davoth, formed in the realm of Jekkad. Jekkad was a perfect realm, a paradise where the Jekkadians could pursue their aspirations without any restraints, as Davoth removed indecisiveness from their minds. They built a prosperous civilization of untold wonders, and Davoth had a deep love for his people. However, the Jekkadians were mortal, and Davoth was unable to make them immortal like himself. This soon led the Jekkadians to seek immortality, and Davoth began to strip them of free will, bending all their minds to work towards achieving immortality as he grew more obsessive. Despite their best efforts, they could not reach it, and Davoth created the Maykr race in the realm of Urdak to be his assistants in his quest, also forming a nameless entity as their steward. While the Maykrs found the secret of immortality, they saw that Davoth and the Jekkadians, in their obsessive quest for immortality, posed a threat to existence. They acted quickly, stripping Davoth of his creation abilities and plunging the entirety of Jekkad into the lowest end of the multiverse, letting it be corrupted into Hell. Jekkadians were corrupted into various monstrous species known as demons, but the city of Immora remained intact, and was fortified against the hellish environment. Davoth swore vengeance on the Maykrs, but ironically, managed to get a way to give Jekkadians immortality, through infusions of Hell Energy, which also kept them from turning into demons. Davoth organized an elite army made up of Jekkadians, giving them the honored position of Demonic Troopers, although it is unknown if they participated in the war against the Maykrs and The Father, the once-nameless being that the Maykrs gave the power of creation to. Even after Davoth was sealed away in a Life Sphere by The Father, the Jekkadians never lost their loyalty to him, the Demonic Troopers eternally awaiting Davoth's return. After many eons, Davoth was revived in physical form by the Doom Slayer, as killing Davoth for good would end Hell's threat forever. While the Slayer attempted to kill him on the spot, Davoth managed to escape to Immora, where he took up his throne and power armor. The Slayer fought his way across Argent D'Nur and Earth, arriving at Immora with an army of Night Sentinels. Davoth summoned the entire Jekkadian army and all the demons he could, and the Doom Slayer led the charge against Immora. Demonic Troopers and demons battled Night Sentinels outside the walls, while the Slayer and other Sentinel forces breached the city and fought their way to Davoth, many Demonic Troopers being easily slaughtered by the Doom Slayer. After Davoth was killed, every demon outside of Hell was destroyed, Hell itself now powerless and unable to invade other universes. It is unknown what became of any surviving Jekkadians.

Notes[]
- Jekkadians could be among the humanoid hosts used by Hell Razers.
- The name of this species is conjecture, based off of the name of their realm's original name. In-game, they were only referred to as the people of Jekkad.
