Ixbee's species is a sapient unnamed species of small bipeds which sent a television crew to investigate several aspects of Earth culture in the early 21st century; notable for their tendency to misinterpret most of what they see.
Biology[]
Members of this species are small creatures, close to a foot in height. They have smooth hairless skin in various shades of green and greenish-blue. Their legs are plantigrade, proportionally very short, and end in apparently toeless feet. Their arms, in contrast, are longer. Their hands consist of three fingers with neither claws nor nails. They have large glossy black eyes, toothless mouths, and a pair of mobile antennae. Some members may grow bushy red mustaches and eyebrows.
Inside the mouth there is a pink tongue which is much longer than it appears to be, and also fully prehensile. Their fingertips can absorb liquids. They can consume a wide variety of food, including beans, tea and soap, and particularly enjoy sugar, cake, cheese, pop corn and peanuts. If they lose an antenna, they will consume it, and a new one will regrow almost instantly. They can survive in Earth's environmental conditions without problem, although some of them seem to have a low tolerance for cold. Additionally, they can survive and operate underwater indefinitely without any discomfort.
Members of this species are also known for their physical resilience. Their bodies are unusually flexible, able to withstand deformity from ludicrous injuries, as well as over-inflation from excessive food or helium gas consumption. Some foods, such as beans, give them flatulence. Strangely, they can be affected by the common cold and exhibit the same symptoms as Humans, such as sneezing and fever.
Culture and society[]
Members of this species speak their own language, and make no effort to try other methods when attempting to communicate with other life forms. They have a tendency to mistake inanimate objects for living creatures, and will be puzzled when these fail to respond; which might suggest that their own culture completely lacks things such as statues, toys, mannequins and decorative figurines.
They travel through space using flying saucers which are very small on the outside, but much larger on the inside. Their technology also includes television, cameras, microphones, tablet-like devices, and spacesuits that can be automatically cleaned or morphed into other types of clothes, such as tuxedos. They have means to render their ships invisible and to teleport objects directly to the ship's interior.
