Insectrons are a subspecies of insectoid-like Cybertronians from the planet Cybertron.
Biology[]
While also being a subgroup of Maximals, Insectrons consider themselves a species unto themselves.
Anatomy[]
Insectrons share a similar biology to other Cybertronians, except they transform into robotic insects.
Powers and abilities[]
Insectrons share many of the same abilities as other Cybertronians.
Culture and society[]
Compared to other Cybertronians, all the Insectrons want is to give peace a chance. Sick and tired of the endless string of wars plaguing Cybertron, the Insectrons fled their homeworld to pursue a peaceful existence as enigmatic nomads.
Unfortunately, when a war rages across an entire universe, there is simply no place for a gaggle of peaceniks to hide, not even on the far-flung, backwater world of Gaia. Luckily, and contrary to their preachy philosophy of isolationism and pacifism, the Insectrons can fight when backed into a corner. Most of them are in fact formers soldiers, with some even being considered the best in their day.
The Insectrons maintain a rivalry with the Autorollers, a mercenary group whom they came to blows with in the years preceding their galactic wandering. The feud is bitter and the Autorollers continue to pursue the Insectrons across the universe, intent on spoiling their peace whenever they find it.
