The ikneumon is a creature native to the planet Zarkass.
Biology[]
Ikneumon are large wasp-like creatures. Ikneumons are a parasitic animal that target lion-caterpillars. When they lay an egg inside a caterpillar, the ikneumon's larva will slowly devour its flesh from the inside while leaving all its organs untouched. The Zarkassians find their eggs to be edible.
