Ikar's species is an unnamed race of spacefaring humanoids known for their emotionless nature and hive-like society.
Biology[]
Ikar and his people are tall humanoids with smooth hairless skin, a pair of round eyes and pointed ears. Instead of a mouth, they have several horizontal flaps on the lower portion of their faces, which move visibly when they speak.
Thanks to generations of selective breeding, Ikar's species is divided into castes suited to perform different functions. The scientists have bulbous, disproportionally-large skulls and elongated fingers, while the solders have more proportioned heads, more muscular bodies, and clawed, possibly biomechanical hands which can shoot out energy discharges to attack. The females (which haven't been observed so-far) serve no function other than to have children.
For countless generations, Ikar's species has intentionally perfected their bodies to be able to do anything their brains ordered, and as a result developed a plethora of fantastic abilities, including telekinesis, teleportation, passing through solid objects, assuming Human form, healing injuries in other creatures by touch, and altering other beings' minds.
Culture and society[]
Ikar's species has no emotions, at least not the same way that Humans do. They live not for pleasure, but for accomplishments, such as improving their species, increasing their numbers and expanding their civilization by conquering other worlds. Their society is structured in such a way that each individual has a function, and those who don't fulfill their function are eliminated.
While they can't comprehend emotions such as love and hate, and are puzzled by how Humans seem to act by impulse rather than logic; these aliens are positively obsessed with the concept of "purpose": everything and every being must have a purpose. Their way of thinking seems to be rigidly collectivist, and they express no individuality. As such, they dress themselves in accordance to their caste and function, and nothing else.
