The Hsktskts are a sapient species that appear in the Stardoc Series.
Biology[]
The Hsktsks are sextupedal reptilians with a number of minor contusions on their heads and upper limbs. Males can reach to ten feet tall and weigh over four hundred kilos. Hsktsks are viviparous and give birth to live young.
Culture[]
To the Allied League, the Hsktskt Faction is nothing more than a bunch of sadistic, merciless killers and terrorists. Their species have committed raids on distant League outposts and destroyed entire populations.The Hsktskts have a reputation for selling those who survived as slaves or worse eaten as food.
Despite this reputation some redeeming traits are in the species. When a female Hsktsk give birth and the midwife or designate is virtually guaranteed he or she will never be taken as a Hsktskt slave.
Society[]
Hsktskt society is rigidly stratified and militant. The Hanar rules over the Hsktskt Faction. Below the position are the two subHanar. Should the Hanar die, the senior subHanar assumes the rank of Hanar.
Four maintain rank for each subHanar, and each descendent rank. Thus, there are eight Akade ministers, sixty-four subAkade ministers, five hundred twelve OverLord commanders. Four thousand ninety-six Lords; thirty-two thousand, seven hundred sixty-eight OverMasters; two hundred sixty-two thousand, one hundred forty-four Masters; two million, ninety-seven thousand, one hundred fifty-two OverSeers; sixteen million, seven hundred seventy-seven thousand, two hundred sixteen Seers; one hundred thirty-four million, two hundred seventeen thousand, seven hundred twenty-eight OverCenturons; one billion, seventy-three million, seven hundred forty-one thousand, eight hundred twenty-four centurons; and eight billion, five hundred eighty-nine million, nine hundred thirty-four thousand, five hundred ninety-two free citizens.
Marriage[]
Conventional Hsktskt union celebrations include sacrificing a warm-blooded animal. The newly united pair must drink the blood for luck.
Children[]
Hsktskt infants act upon one instinct from the moment of birth, attack anything that moves. At adolescence, Hsktskt are more stress induced than Terrans, potentially becoming loud and obnoxious.
Slavery[]
Slavery is a prevalent facet in Hsktskt culture. The Hsktskt acquire slaves by raiding other worlds. Once acquired they designate the sapient a serial number and provide a orientation of the Hsktskt Faction and their role.
