Houjix are a fierce-looking yet mild-mannered species which were domesticated by the Gran, the local sapients on their homeworld of Kinyen. They are often used as loyal, albeit cowardly, pets.
They are most notable for being represented as one of the many holomonster playing pieces in the board game of dejarik.
