Horrorcons are a subspecies of Cybertronian Headmaster Triple Changers from the planet Cybertron.
Biology[]
While also being a subgroup of Decepticons, Horrorcons consider themselves a species unto themselves.
Anatomy[]
Horrorcons share a similar biology to other Cybertronians, except they transform into both fighter jets and monstrous robotic animals.
Powers and abilities[]
Horrorcons share many of the same abilities as other Cybertronians, especially Headmaster-type Bonded Masters and Triple Changers.
Culture and society[]
Apeface and Snapdragon, the most commonly seen Horrorcons, are remarkably alike. For example, they both like beating things up and causing general mayhem. They are also both loudly obnoxious.
Although Horrorcons are actually quite intelligent, they prefer to masquerade as morons for whatever benefit that may bring.
While Horrorcons are generally affiliated with the Decepticons, incarnations of Snapdragon are alternatively affiliated with the Mercenaries.

- Apeface and Snapdragon are occasionally (and comically) referred as analogues to both King Kong and Godzilla due to their animalistic/land-based alternate modes: Apeface's beast mode is a gorilla akin to Kong whereas Snapdragon transforms into a theropod dinosaur based on Godzilla.
- At the time of their debut, the Horrorcons were only portrayed as Headmaster-type Bonded Masters that functioned like Triple Changers by coincidence. They would later be explicitly referred to as Triple Changers in both Dreamwave's More Than Meets the Eye profile book series and the Earth Wars mobile game.
