The Horansi are a sapient, feline-humanoid race native to the planet Mutanda. Their primitive, tribal society was equally welcoming to the Empire or the Republics. They recognized the importance of the prothium mines in their system and played upon it, selling themselves out as hunting guides for the miners and soldiers stationed there. The average Horansi is bipedal, although they can run on all fours when the terrain dictates it. Their night vision is especially acute, allowing them to track prey in low-light conditions. They have four subspecies, each playing a different role in society - the Kasa (warriors), Gorvan (leaders), Mashi (mystics), and Treka (commoners).
