Homo nintendonus is a species of Humanoids which can be found in the Mushroom World.
- The name Homo nintendonus originates from a Nintendo Character Manual from 1993, where it applies to Mario specifically; suggesting contrary to most sources that he's not a regular Human (Homo sapiens). How this is reconciled with the fact that he was born and raised in Brooklyn (according to the same manual and other sources) remains mysterious, although later iterations of the franchise are reasonably consistent about the fact that Mario and Luigi are indeed natives of the Mushroom Kingdom.
