The Hewett served Konkeel pie on the menu, even though it was toxic to humanoids. The Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn almost ate the pie before being prevented by his contemporary Adi Gallia.

The Hewett are native to the planet Hewett in a Mid Rim sector of the same name. In 34 BBY, an official banquet was held for Hewett senators, which was attended by Jedi Masters Qui-Gon Jinn and Adi Gallia. The menu included the dessert Konkeel pie, which was highly toxic to humanoids, with several people having died from consuming it. Master Jinn was about to eat some pie before Master Gallia stopped him, pointing out the dangers. With its toxicity brought to their attention, the Hewett removed the item from the menu and apologized to the Jedi. The next year, Jinn related the incident to his Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi, insisting that Gallia saved his life.
