Helghast are a species seen in the Killzone series.
Biology[]
The Helghast originated when two factions of Humans left earth, the first being the ISA and Helghan Corporation. Afterwards, a rivalry of the two companies endored and left Helghan Corporation to force their work force to live on the planet Helghan that orbits the star Alpha Centauri B. Due to the harsh environment in Helghan, combined with the planet's radiation, the Humans from the Helghan Corporation slowly evolved into pale and nearly hairless new species that were dubbed as the Helghast. Helghasts later used most of their technology from the defunct Helghan Corporation to create new mining machines and weaponry. On occasion, Helghasts have fought against ISA soldiers for a bit of liberation.
It should also be noted that Helghast and Human hybrids are often refered to as Half-Breeds.
