The Heavenly Beings are a race of gods that appeared on Earth in the ancient past.
Biology[]
Heavenly Beings overall are humanoids, though are much slimmer and slender than humans, with elongated ears. Some possess physical variations, based on their various cultural backgrounds. Heavenly Beings do not obtain sustenance from definite objects like food. Instead they taken in a form of energy call Akuto, or human emotions. Akuto was known as the almighty power and source of life.
The Heavenly Beings could take the human spirit, an accretion of feelings, wishes and dreams and turn that intangible power into a physical power or physical object. Through this power, Heavenly Beings could manipulate the environment or reshape reality on their whim like magic. In order to gain efficiency in absorbing Akuto, Heavenly Beings had long since replaced their bodies with Akuto created material. Even when damaged or maimed, Heavenly Beings could regrow their body parts with the aid of a healer and concentrated focus.
Background[]
In the ancient past, when Earth was home to an advanced civilization of humans, it was visited by strange beings who were said to have fell from the skies. These beings of unknown origins could control a power called Akuto, or human emotions. Upon their arrival to the surface of Earth, obsessed with their powers, believed themselves to be gods and began destroying the ancient human civilization. Despite the advanced technology of ancient humanity, the civilization was rendered extinct within a few days,
The beings however in their folly did not realize that the humans were the progenitors of the Akuto; and that they had killed off the very source of their power. Soon an Akuto shortage drew near and in order to preserve their existence, the beings in fear used their power to expand outward, invading other space-times and planets to steal Akuto. At the same time they attempted to create a method to supply them with a unlimited amount of Akuto, by bringing back humanity using their power. However the experiment was deemed a failure, as even though the humans could produce Akuto, it was insufficient to increscent needs of the beings. All the humans they had recreated were then discarded to live on the harsh environment of the surface of Earth.
The beings depleted all the other dimensions of Akuto. Using the Akuto they pillaged, they created their own empire in the skies above surface of Earth known as the Heavens thus becoming the Heavenly Beings who could control Akuto. Over time the leaders of the Heavens soon grew corrupt due to the unlimited amount of Akuto and their society began to degrade and decline. In their time of weakness, the humans that they had discarded and expanded their numbers and launched an attack against the Heavens in revenge for the future stolen from them.
The Heavens were soon being overrun by the humans attacks. During the battle, the King of the Heavens had the choice of either letting his people die or sever the supply of Akuto. He chose the latter, cutting the Heavens from the Lower World. In doing so the Heavenly Beings sealed themselves into a parallel dimension separated from Earth, resulting in the pillars that connected Earth to the Heavens to fall and create destruction throughout the surface. The event was known as the "Calamitous Day" as since then both worlds lost contact with each other. The Heavenly Beings on their part regarded making contact with the Lower World a taboo and thus appointed a guardian, the Outsider to ensure that a link is never created.
In the present day, the Heavens have since been balkanized into many kingdoms and the cycle of Akuto which is now very a limited resource is carefully monitored for the continued survival of the Heavenly Beings. The Heavens fall into disarray due to the lack of Akuto. The Magical Kingdom is blamed for the Akuto shortage, mainly Munto, the prince who was birth resulted in his parents death who were charged in maintaining the cycle of Akuto. The other kingdoms out of desperation band together under the United Army to seek to destroy the Magical Kingdom in hopes of preserving what little is left of the Akuto.
The Magical Kingdom led by King Munto, attempts to defend their land from the encroachment of the United Army. For years he managed to defend his home, from the onslaught of the other nations. However they continue to harry his lands, destroying pieces of it in order to release the Akuto and return it to the Heavens. Munto wishing to end the war and the Akuto crisis, approaches Gass the Outsider to allow him a way to reach the Lower World and communicate with a human to reestablish the link of Akuto. His efforts are hindered by the Elders of the United Army who send an Akuto automaton to attack him.
They fail as Munto manages to reach out to a human girl named Yumemi who successfully crosses the space-time continuum, restoring the proper flow of Akuto to the Heavens, saving it from destruction. A year and a half passes the new supply of Akuto did not offer the peace hoped by Munto. Instead other monarchs of the Heavens became corrupted by the sudden influx of Akuto, and began to war amongst themselves, with many abandoning the guidance of the Elders of the United Army to seek and conquer the Heavens. Of all the kingdoms, Horguze appears to be unstoppable due to its Akuto powered machine army.
The Magical Kingdom finds itself under siege but they prevail thanks to Munto and some of the Ender forces. Gntarl of the United Army, then seeks to acquire Yumemi to regulate the Akuto flow. Gass attempts to stop him, but is driven away, causing the Outsider to warn Munto of Gntarl's plan.
Due to the shattering of the Heavens, the shocks of the battle affect Earth, causing pieces of land from the Heavens to the lower world. Gntarl ship hovers over Yumemi's location, but Munto and Yumemi bridge the gap between the two worlds, causing an explosion that disables Gntarl's ship, and Munto spirits Yumemi to the Heavens in the midst of a battle with Gridori the King of Horguze. Gridori though nearly kills Munto and Yumemi's protectors, causing them to drop her. Her fall unexpectedly releases a tremendous amount of power that quells the fighting, leaving Gridori vulnerable enough for Gass to grab him and drag him into another dimension. Due to Yumemi's presence the flow of Akuto stabilizes and the Elders call off tehir attack on the Magical Kingdom and instead opt to see where the king will direct the Heavens. Gntarl refuses to accept this as he believes only Yumemi's existence is a danger to the Heavens and wants to crystalize her power for control.
Yumemi while a guest of the Magical Kingdom used her newfound power to bring her friends to the Heavens. Munto meanwhile conducts the process to re-establish a permanent connection bring both the Heavens and Lower World together. Yumemi and her friends go to assist Munto. Gntarl in the area, manage to capture Yumemi's friends and uses them as hostage to capture Yumemi. Yumemi gives herself up but manages to overpower Gntarl with her power. Together with Munto, she and her friends help stabilized and merged the two worlds.
In the aftermath of the joining of the two worlds, the leaders of the Heavens had gathered in the Magical Kingdom. It was also reported that representatives from the Lower World would soon arrive, beginning the process of the meeting of the two worlds.
