Headmaster Triple Changers are a subspecies of Headmaster-type Bonded Master/Triple Changer-hybrid Cybertronians from the planet Cybertron.

Headmaster Triple Changers share a similar biology to other Cybertronian Bonded Masters. Many of them scale around the same size as regular Triple Changers whereas a select few like Fortress Maximus and Scorponok are as gargantuan as Titans.

- The concept of Headmaster Triple Changers was introduced in a commercial for Generation 1 toys featuring Scorponok and the Technobots. During said commercial, Galvatron referred to Scorponok as a "Headmaster Triple Changer base".
- This same characterization was given to Scorponok in the story "Doomsday for Nebulos", which was featured in the Transformers Annual 1987 published by Marvel Comics.
- Many of the Headmaster Triple Changers are exclusively portrayed as such in the Titans Return toyline, being portrayed as either regular Cybertronians or regular Triple Changers across other media.
- As Scorponok's primary adversary across Generation 1-related media, Fortress Maximus is very likely to also be a Headmaster Triple Changer.
